Our approach is to work with and for our clients. We are enablers, we transfer skills and knowledge, we build capability, we develop people. We have a significant track record in developing individuals and organisations in the UK public and voluntary sectors to enable them to perform better and to deliver against changing requirements and policies in their business environment.
We approach all our client assignments in a similar way. We believe that all the projects that we carry out with or on behalf of our clients will benefit from 'upstream' investment in structured initiation and planning, to ensure that we are at one with you about the assignment's scope, structure, resourcing, timing, deliverables and risks, so that there are no ambiguities, nor any surprises! We often manage our assignments within a PRINCE II project management framework, proportional to both your needs and the scale of the assignment.
Before embarking on our fieldwork, whether diagnostic, forensic or developmental, we believe that it is important for our consultants fully to understand the context and issues by engaging with your internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate. After carrying out our fieldwork, we prefer to share and validate our findings and the solutions that we have developed; we have found that this step in an assignment often results in pragmatic contributions from the client organisation's people and/or its stakeholders leading to more sustainable and robust implementation. Finally, we believe that it is important for the longer term credibility and sustainability of the deliverables for us to obtain the 'sign-off' of the assignment's original sponsor, which might be a Director, a Project Team or the organisation's Board.
